DIGITAL PUSH IN COVID-19

Opening lecture:
Emma Stokes,
President of the World Physiotherapy Association

Panel:
Round table discussion on eHealth/telephysiotherapy,
Moderator: Tine Kovačič, (14:40 -15:20)

At the section for Physiotherapy, we will host the president of the World Physiotherapy, prof. dr. Emmo Stokes, who in her address will emphasize the importance of digitization in physiotherapy education, also about the importance of hybrid teaching using a combination of distance learning and practical physiotherapy skills during COVID-19 pandemic. We will continue with the round table e Health/e-Physiotherapy, as physiotherapists in Slovenia also faced the challenges of how to continue with effective physiotherapy treatments for various patients during the covid-19 epidemic. We also faced the challenges of digitization in physiotherapy. Although many physiotherapy procedures can be effectively offered through eHealth services, we need a systematic approach, together with practical considerations for the successful implementation of telehealth in Slovenia public health. There will be more than 65 lecturers from various fields of physiotherapy such as physiotherapy for women's health, neurophysiotherapy, physiotherapy in sports, geriatric physiotherapy. The role of physiotherapists in habilitation, rehabilitation as prevention and health promotion is of key importance to all those involved in public healthcare in order to provide quality and evidence-based physiotherapy services.
