The Role of Project Management For Digitalisation In Retail Industry In The Countries of The Western Balkans

Digitalization is becoming an increasingly important element of business improvement in various industries. Retail industry is not omitted by this trend. On daily basis customers get new opportunities as a consequence of digitalization. Also, within retail industry, huge number of projects with goal of implementing different digital solutions are not externally visible, but have a huge impact on improving business and processes internally. Process of digitalization could be more or less complex, but crucial role within implementing new digital solutions play Project Management. This research would be focused exactly on role of Project Management within process of digitalization. Research will cover various cases from different retail companies presented on market of the Western Balkan countries. Aim of the research is to get answer does Project Management has an impact on digitalization in retail industry in Western Balkan countries or improvement of business through digitalization is just consequence of global trends.
